So I've been under some pressure lately to write another blog. It seems that Alan has a new (quite possibly unhealthy) addiction to blogs, so congratulations Alan, you have now made me an enabler.
As if it isn't hard enough having to arrive and depart from work everyday amongst scores of adolescent girls who would love nothing more than to have me look their way, snag a lock of my hair or even just brush against my jacket. I mean, come on, I realize I'm the greatest thing since High School Musical 2 and 3, but let me enjoy the mysticism of my posts. I quietly enjoy making my (2) fans wait anxiously for the next sputtering of retardation that they may or may not expect to come from the blog de Fat Tony, much like Andy Kaufman did as the women's wrestling champion and his Tony Clifton character.
Today's blog does have some sort of point to it, believe it or not. Several days ago I decided that I was going to create some cartoon characters. I have no clue why or what I will do with them, I just had the urge to be creative in some other medium than computer artwork and wordsmithing. So after a few days of coming up with ideas, sketches and analyzing features of people on TV, imagining what a caricature of them would look like, I have come up with two characters. I really wanted three, two guys and a girl, but all I have right now are two. I scanned in a couple of sketches and redrew them in Illustrator.
Slug and Jarvis (partial) final in color

I have no "world" for them to live in, hence the solid white background and bad perspective sidewalk thingy they're standing on. When I get more down, I'll post them. This should have Cartoon Network beating down my door for a lucrative cartoon deal that will warrant me tens if not hundreds of dollars in the far distant future.
thanks for the "fix"
Those are pretty cool, bear. I use bear because you won't let me say dog anymore.....
